Since the company was founded, Longderm has been focused on sustainability and emphasizes our strong commitment to responsible business practices. Our sustainability journey covers several key elements. First, we carefully choose to use sustainable PET/PETG packaging and give priority to locally sourced materials, while actively incorporating recycled materials into the product manufacturing process. However, these efforts are only the first step towards a more sustainable future. Our commitment will be further deepened as we actively explore ways to integrate sustainability into the design process and seek innovations to improve the ecological footprint of product design, decoration technology and production facilities. This is a major challenge for companies that hope to thrive in the industry for a long time. We are committed to working tirelessly to reduce environmental impact throughout the life cycle of our products, from design and production to marketing and waste recycling.

Reduced Transport Distance

Central to our operations is a steadfast commitment to sourcing materials locally and consolidating processing and decoration at a single location whenever feasible. This strategic approach allows us to streamline our logistics by shipping products directly from our warehouse to our customers, effectively minimizing transport distances. As a result, we significantly reduce CO2 emissions, which aligns with our dedication to environmental stewardship.

This method goes beyond merely reducing our carbon footprint; it also enhances our operational efficiency. By shortening supply lines and centralizing our production processes, we can better manage resources, reduce waste, and ensure that every step of our operation is optimized for sustainability. This holistic approach to production and logistics reflects our broader commitment to responsible business practices.

Circular Reuse Solution

In our quest for ecological production, the ultimate sustainable solution lies in reusing packaging. No matter how environmentally friendly our manufacturing processes become, the most effective way is to repurpose existing bottles, jars, pumps and other containers. This approach not only minimizes waste but also significantly reduces the environmental impact of producing new packaging materials.

To achieve this, we developed elegant and user-friendly complementary solutions. These solutions enable consumers to replace only the essential components of packaging (such as the contents) while retaining the original container. This process significantly reduces the need for single-use packaging, ensuring containers do not prematurely end up in landfill or recycling plants.

Consider a high-quality jar for cosmetics. Instead of having to throw away the jar when the product is finished, consumers can simply purchase a refill container. This container holds the product and is designed to fit seamlessly into the original jar. Consumers enjoy the same convenience and product quality, while the jars are still in use and waste is avoided.

Likewise, with spray bottles, the reusable design allows consumers to replace only the inner cartridge. This approach ensures that large parts of the packaging, including the bottle and spray device, are reused multiple times. The result is a significant reduction in plastic waste and resource consumption.

CO2-friendly production

We are committed to producing sustainable glass packaging in a CO2-friendly way. This goal is achieved by using advanced furnaces equipped with the latest technology, which effectively limit carbon emissions. In the coming years, we will work closely with our partners to continue to pilot innovative technologies and alternative energy sources, such as hydrogen and biofuels, to further reduce the carbon footprint of the product life cycle.

Our advanced furnaces not only reduce CO2 emissions during the production process, but also improve energy efficiency and ensure that resources are used in the best possible way. By continuously optimizing production processes and introducing green technologies, we hope to set new environmental standards for the industry.

At the same time, we recognize that existing technologies alone are not enough to meet future environmental challenges. Therefore, we actively explore and experiment with various emerging energy solutions. For example, hydrogen, as a clean energy source, can significantly reduce the greenhouse gases produced during the production process. Biofuels provide a renewable energy option that not only reduces dependence on fossil fuels, but also achieves carbon neutrality during the production process.

Throughout the product journey, from the sourcing of raw materials to the final packaging and transportation, we always pay attention to every link of carbon emissions. We work closely with each link in the supply chain to ensure the most environmentally friendly practices are adopted at every step. This not only includes the production process, but also involves the optimization of transportation and logistics to reduce overall carbon emissions.

Utilization of renewable energy

We strive to use green electricity in our factories and offices to reduce our carbon footprint and protect the environment. We are committed to sourcing certified CO2-free electricity from renewable sources, ensuring our operations are as environmentally friendly as possible. This transformation not only significantly reduces our carbon emissions, it also demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.

By using CO2-free green electricity, we can achieve more efficient energy use. For example, in some cases, 1 kWh of green electricity can replace 2 kWh of fossil fuel natural gas. Not only does this mean fewer greenhouse gas emissions, it also shows that we are responding to the global call for clean energy with real action.

Our green electricity sources include solar, wind and hydroelectric power. Not only are these renewable energies inexhaustible, they do not produce harmful carbon dioxide emissions. We not only use these green electricity in the production process, but also promote it across the board in our offices. This initiative not only helps reduce environmental pollution, but also provides a healthier and more sustainable environment for employees and customers.
